In most cases when we, as hosts, plan for a bridal shower, birthday party or baby shower, we tend to think of the gift items that we shall receive from the people we invite. I am not saying that it is wrong to think in those lines, but let us do a little bit of soul searching; how many times do we think of the things we could give to our guests in return?
When you are having a baby shower, you can as well consider having some favors that will be given to your guests after all has been said and done.
For the best results and for your guests to feel that you really had them in mind, you could consider having the baby shower favors personalized so that each person gets a wrapped gift item that is in his or her own name.
There are many items that you could give out as favors, ranging from small bars of chocolate, pies or cookies to personalized pens.
One sure way to see to it that you get the gifts right is to first look at the list of the people who are going to attend the party. Look at their ages and then decide what would be more suitable for people of a certain age.
If you decide to use food items as the favors for your guests, you could wrap them carefully and then place them in a basket, which you will then place on the table and have every one pick out theirs as food is served. Alternatively, you could have the gift items placed somewhere near the door for your guests to pick theirs as they leave.
